For those of you awesome individuals who decided to stop by every once in a while and check in on the status of For The Reels’ hiatus, you’re in luck. Finally. FTR is coming back and better than ever. No, not as flash cartoons as originally promised (more on that later), but as the weekly webwebcomic many of you had come to enjoy before this past 7-month break. Jon and I would like to thank those of you who were so supportive during that time, mostly for not wanting to maim us for taking so damn long. What happened really was that we couldn’t devote all the time and effort to recreating our comics into flash cartoons. We lost our jobs. I moved. Twice. I got engaged. Jon was presented with an opportunity in South Korea and is getting ready to move there for a year…
That all said, taking time off from the strip was making me feel crazy and guilty. So I went to the hardest working guy in webcomics I know: J N Horsley of y2cl.net fame. I asked him if he’d like to join me and Jon in bringing back For The Reels and he thankfully jumped on board to help us out ’cause he’s an awesome dude. So prepare for at least 1.5 times the funny as team J, J & J unite to bring you more hilarious movie parodies every week.
We’re gonna start by reposting all the old strips once a day every day until they run out and we’ll pick up where we left off with strip #57. So come by and visit each afternoon and be ready for some new crazy shit come end of November!
