This isn’t really a joke, more of a tribute. It was published in 2008 the day of the election, giving Jon and I one more reason to cross our fingers for Obama to win. Because if he didn’t, we’d have to publish a different strip and we had no backup prepared. So when he did clinch the victory, it was not only a monumental day for African Americans and all of America in general, but for lazy FTR writers/artists named Jon or Joe the world over.
