</a></p>For some reason, I couldn&#8217;t get that oompa loompa to NOT look look like Obama, no matter how hard I tried.  I think it was a combination of the skin color, the hairline, and the face wrinkles.  He was the last character I drew, and the final result made me immediately regret not spoofing the [...]]]></description>

<p>Overall, though, I preferred this 2005 film over the old one because it was closer to the book and therefore seemed so much more imaginative.  Roald Dahl was one of my favorite authors as a kid (my favorite story being <em>George&#8217;s Marvellous Medicine</em>), and even though Tim Burton made it a bit creepier than it needed to be, at least his film didn&#8217;t have Verca Salt&#8217;s annoying-as-hell &#8220;I Want it Now&#8221; number.</p>
